Budget season is crazy, even when it's going well

Budget season is in full swing, and crazy is the honest word for it. Inputs are landing from every corner of the business, scenarios keep multiplying, and leadership wants answers faster than the numbers can settle. Because you're planning in Pigment, a single live model is doing the heavy lifting instead of a graveyard of spreadsheets. Even so, no implementation covers every corner. Maybe there's a driver you're still stitching together by hand, an approval step that stalls the whole model, or a board that doesn't quite tell leadership what it needs to know. If there's a gap somewhere, reply and let us know how we can help.

Fresh from Pigment this month:

THE EXPANSION PACK

The connection they never have to think about

Most teams start workforce planning the hard way: one row per named position, updated by hand. It works until it doesn't, usually right about now. There's a lighter path. Plan by drivers instead. You model "three more AEs in Q2" rather than "Position #4471", you let comp assumptions flow from bands, and you start seeing what a named-position list keeps hidden, like comp compression when new hires land above tenured staff doing the same job.

That's also the doorway to people analytics. Once your headcount is driver-based, you can layer in pay equity, retention, and representation, which are the questions leadership is already asking you to answer. It's the natural step after basic headcount, let us help you get started.
